Trump and Vance Cite Iran War as Factor Behind Republicans’ Midterm Election Defeat.
U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance have attributed the Republican Party’s defeat in the midterm elections partly to the war, with Trump effectively endorsing their assessment that the Iran war played a significant role in the party’s losses.
Following the Republicans’ major setback in the U.S. midterm elections, Trump said he accepted the results and praised the Democrats for their performance.
He congratulated the Democrats on their victory, saying they had done a good job.
